小菅由加里（こすげゆかり）

作曲家

静岡県浜松市出身。静岡大学大学院音楽教育専攻作曲専修修了。ミュージック・インストラクター養成スクール講師、短期大学音楽科非常勤講師等を経てトロント王立音楽院（カナダ）にて研鑽を積み、同音楽院音楽理論アドバンスト課程を最優秀の成績にて修了。バークリー音楽院映像音楽マスターコース修了。ピアノを鈴木幸子、大橋京子、根木真理子、Stepene Satory、ヴァイオリンをVivian Water、作曲を大槻寛、Roman Toi の各氏に師事。第10回奏楽堂日本歌曲コンクール作曲部門入選。第11回日本創作童謡コンクール入賞。NHK文化センター講師。作曲家集団「ムシカ・デ・エスペランサ」メンバー。日本サウンドスケープ協会会員。

これまでに、学校の音楽教材のための箏アンサンブル、文化庁支援事業『ザ・茶歌』創作民謡、第24回国民文化祭でのガムラン音楽をはじめ、打楽器アンサンブル、弦楽アンサンブル、合唱曲、舞台音楽など、様々なスタイルの作品を手がける。また、サンプラー音源や携帯電話着信メロディの研究開発、ゲーム音楽の制作等にも携わるなど、多様なジャンルにてクリエーターとしての実績を積む。米国ネブラスカ大学と静岡大学との国際交流コンサート（2008年, 静岡市）のために書き下ろした打楽器アンサンブル作品《日本のわらべうた》は、米国でも演奏され、好評を博す。2015年には、オーケストラ作品《Dance》 が、バークリー音楽大学（米国ボストン）にて、同大学オーケストラBerklee Contemporary Symphonic Orchestra によって演奏・レコーディングされている（→こちら）。

また、サウンドスケープ（音風景）の考え方に興味を持ち、小川の流れ、木々のざわめき、鳥の鳴き声など自然界の音からインスピレーションを得た作品の創作にも取り組んでいる。さらに、「まちの音に耳をすまして、まちを再発見」をテーマに、日本各地で市民を対象に、サウンド・エデュケーション（環境音に対して耳をひらく教育）を目的としたワークショップを行い、身近な音環境への気づきを通して聴く力を育てる働きかけをしている。2012年には、自身が主催したワークショップ「音風景でつづる家康の散歩道」が、第７回国際２匹目のどじょう賞（日本版イグノーベル賞）の『環境賞』を受賞。

Yukari KOSUGE

Born in  Hamamatsu-city, Japan, Yukari Kosuge is a composer, performer, and music instructor at her private studio as well as NHK Continuing Education School. After receiving a Master's Degree of  Music Education  from Shizuoka University, she pursued further studies in music at The Royal Conservatory of Music in Toronto, Canada, where she obtained the Certificate in Advanced Music Theory with First Class-Honors. In addition, she successfully completed Master of Orchestration for Film and TV at Berklee College of Music. She is a winner of the 10^th Sogaku-do Composition Competition for Japanese Contemporary Art Songs, and  the 11th Composition Competition for Japanese Children's Songs.

As an active composer, Yukari has composed numerous works for various settings, including “Cha-uta (Tea song) Varie for koto ensemble” as an educational resource in schools, “Japanese Children’s Songs for percussion ensemble” for an international exchange concert with the University of Nebraska Omaha (2008), “On the Seashore for gamelan” at The 24^th National Cultural Festival (2009). In 2015, her orchestral work, "Dance,"  was performed and recorded by the Berklee Contemporary Symphonic Orchestra at Berklee College of Music in Boston, U.S.A.

Her interest in soundscapes has led her to compose music inspired by nature sounds such as water flowing, leaves rustling, and birds chirping. Since 2010, she has been organizing and conducting a lot of workshops on the soundscape concept for the public throughout Japan, aiming at reinforcing auditory perception as well as promoting environmental awareness.
